The most HORROR MOVIES of all time!!
•The Exorcist collection (1973-2005)
Most horror fans swear by the original 1973 classic. IMDb rated it 6-8% and Rotten Tomatoes gave 75 to 86%. It is a bone chilling movie with superb directions and make up and spine chilling background music. Though this is what classic horror is rather than using sound effects to create horror as they do in modern movies. Thus none of the sequels and prequels managed to live up to that one scene, the Exorcist franchise panning 5 of the creepiest horror movies is a must-watch tonight.
•1408 (2007)
Based on a short story of the same name by Stephen King, this psychological horror creates a lasting impression. IDMb rated it 6.8 and Rotten Tomatoes gave 79%. Well the evil only possess that people whose minds are very weak. It has nothing with ghosts. But what gives this movie so much credit is the story. It's unique. It was kind a new story. Not a guy is chasing a ghost and all. If you try to see the power to will to live, you can see this movie. But watch it for the brilliantly twisted plot woven around a forbidden hotel room that does not any visitor leave alive. This film has three alternate endings apart from the one used in the film, none of which are the same as the original ending of the short story.
•The Conjuring series (2013 - 2016)
The worst thing one can do is tell you that a movie as frightening as this is based on true events. It just makes the whole experience of sitting through it uncomfortably real. This story is divine for who has interest in paranormal activities and suitable for those who doesn't have any fear. This movie is really outrageous and fearsome. It will never get old to me. It reflects old time and unity of a family. But through out all circumstances their situation got worse. The faith and happy days got lost, they got conjured up by many demonic entities. And Valak from The Conjuring 2, let's not even get there. IDMb rated it averagely from 7 to 8 & Rotten Tomatoes gave 80 to 90%.
•The Autopsy of Jane Doe(2016)
•The Insidious Trilogy (2011-2015)
The first one was creepy, but it's the second one that answers all the questions. And then the third one raises some more questions. This will give you a elongated creppy feeling. It is an well executed horror flim. It has a perfect balance between thrill and fear. The IMDb gave the an average of 5 to 7 and Rotten Tomatoes gave 60 to 75%.
•The Silence Of The Lambs (1991)
Watch this one for Anthony Hopkins' unbelievable performance. It was so convincing, many thought he was actually a cannibal. He had to make a public announcement that he never tasted human flesh and had no intentions of doing so in the future! IMDb gave 8.6. It is a Hannibal Lecter series. It is probably one of the best thriller you have seen and I'm sure most of you will agree with me. The plot is simply genius.
•The Exorcism Of Emily Rose (2005)
Once again, the fact that it's a true story makes it all the more scary. If you love getting thrills out of frightening scenes, this is one film that packs those by the dozen! This movie is a must watch movie since it's said that it's real life movie and actress has really conveyed it through her acting and I suggest you to watch it alone in a pretty dark room. IMDb gave it 6.7 & Rotten Tomatoes graced it with 44% only.
•It Follows (2014)
A simple yet thoroughly effective premise that merged The Ring, The Thing and Halloween: shag the wrong Tinder moron and a supernatural shape-shifter will amble unstoppable towards you, scrunching you to death unless you have sex with someone before it arrives. Even if you don't feel satisfied with the plot of the movie, the cinematography, the background score, the casting and some really good scares are enough to keep you inside the atmosphere of adult horror. IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes gave 6.8 and 97% respectively.
•Saw (2004)
